Understanding Grief Specific to the Pandemic
Like any grieving experience the pandemic is personal, it will be different for each of us. Over the past four years you may have found an internal battle that includes loneliness, empowerment, confusion, clarity, frustration, terror, and alienation. For many there can be discomfort, perhaps a disengagement, a waiting for things to return to normal, or even feelings life can no longer continue. We may find ourselves pulling away from everything we know resulting in even further feelings of isolation. We are left alone in our experience and in the cumulative emotions, without the tools to process what shows up. This is grief!
