What is a leader and what is mindful leadership? In what ways do leaders serve the greater good? These questions are difficult to answer. As I reflect on them my answer would be: A leader is someone who can guide people into their vision that will serve the community. Our personal values come in to play in that leadership must be given without an agenda of manipulation or coercion. Today we celebrate Canada Day, and while many enjoy the vibrant fireworks displays that light up the sky, I choose not to attend these events. This decision is rooted in my commitment as a trauma-informed coach and my deep compassion for those affected by the loud explosions and bright flashes.

When we embrace self-love, we cultivate a deep sense of compassion and kindness towards ourselves, which becomes the guiding light in our journey towards holistic wellness.
Self-care is the tangible expression of self-love. It involves nourishing our minds, bodies, and spirits through intentional actions that promote health and vitality. Whether it’s taking a leisurely walk in nature, indulging in a soothing bubble bath, or practicing mindfulness meditation, self-care rituals replenish our energy reserves and foster a sense of inner peace and balance.
